The association “Innovation and Care in Oncology” (IVO) wants to create a broad and multi-professional network in Berlin and Brandenburg. This is intended to bring innovative treatments, cross-occupational and cross-sectoral topics and study projects into patient care in order to achieve optimal quality in patient care. In particular, the fields of digitization as well as topic-related exchange and offers for advanced training are to be jointly promoted.

The association sees itself as a platform for all professional groups active in hematology, oncology and palliative medicine as well as their service providers.
We are looking for committed members and sponsors from all areas of the health sector.

Was will IVO?

The dialogue between doctors, clinics, medical specialists, providers of healthcare services and their sponsors opens up new cooperative communities and is intended to prevent double burdens.
As a registered association, IVO offers the ideal platform for jointly developing and implementing opportunities. Perspectives should also be different
different sections / working groups are formed within the association. Possible focus areas are, for example:
  • Internal medicine with a focus on hematology / oncology
  • Diagnostics / radiation therapy
  • Intersectoral projects and cooperation
  • Nursing and outpatient services close to the patient
  • Complementary medical therapy procedures / supportive therapy
  • Studies and health services research
  • Projects and care in the context of digitization in medicine
Another core element of the association is the training and further education of its members as well as the organization of network meetings.
In addition, common goals can be pursued through joint project work, regular meetings and information evenings. These include in particular the challenges posed by digitization in medicine.
